DDSSY

Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana is a scheme of the government of Goa to provide health insurance coverage for the resident population of the state residing in Goa for five years and more. The scheme provides quality medical care and treatment of diseases, hospitalization and surgery procedures through Government and private hospitals. V.M. Salgaocar hospital is empanelled with DDSSY scheme for the benefit of the people in Goa.

DDSSY Guidelines for patients:

1. The Patient has to be registered with DDSSY Scheme and  his name should be listed on the card. The card has to be valid with its renewal done in time.
2.  To avail of Cashless facility using the card the patient has to first meet  the concerned consultant and ascertain the type of treatment (name of surgery) required to treat his aliment.
3. The Name of the surgery has to be checked with the DDSSY listed procedures. If the Patient wants to upgrade to the higher room category, the Up- gradation consent is given by the patient and the same is uploaded in the portal.
4.  The Aadhar card verification has to be done by patient /any one of the listed family members on the card.
5.  The mandatory documents ascertaining the ailment have to be uploaded in the DDSSY portal and an approval is sought for the case to be conducted.
6. Upon approval the patient gets admitted on the predefined date and the surgery is performed.
7.  After the surgery is performed the DDSSY card is Blocked for the amount that is approved by DDSSY for the said procedure.  It means that the blocked amount will be paid to the Hospital once the claim is approved by the claim team of DDSSY.
8.  At  the time of discharge, all documents pertaining to the treatment of the patient are uploaded in the Pre discharge documents section .
9.  Upon completion of the treatment  the patient is discharged with valid evidence of the surgery done in the form of suture line photos , Clinical Photos , Histopathology reports, post procedure X-Rays etc. has to be uploaded.
10.  Lastly the patient is discharged from the Portal with the final diagnosis and declaration of the Extra amount paid by the patient in case the patient has upgraded to the higher ward category.
